Did you ever found yourself in a situation where you need to code something right during a technical interview?

Microsoft has introduced a clever way to ease these type of interviews for both the interviewer and the candidate.  Gone is the time where you had to switch between your code editor and the Skype app during your ultimate dream job interview.

Introducing Skype Interviews. Have a look at the video below to see exactly how Skype Interviews works.

This new idea features a code editor which is embedded within Skype that can even handle live code execution together with syntax highlighting!
There is no download required just go to skype.com/en/interviews and click on Start Interview button.

Simply enough, what happens is that a code editor is run together with Skype on Chrome browser or MS Edge and apparently it only works if the browsers are set to English as their language.
The editor also supports 12 of the most used programming languages around the world which are ; JavaScript, TypeScript, JAVA, PHP, C, C#, C++, F#, Go, Pyhton, Ruby & Rust.

A unique link is given to you once you click on Start Interview of which you can share with any participant that will participate during the interview.

How is that for a clever idea? ... good job Microsoft!
